So when we last left our adventurers we had killed off the white dragon in his cave and taken his skull. We're planning on mounting it at our Keep. Cause why not? Can you imagine the vibe we'd pull off if a vendor or trades person tries to rip us off with a dragon skull looming over us?

So we get on our boat and head down the coast, but stop off at Neverwinter instead of going all the way to Waterdeep. It's a couple day jaunt inland from Neverwinter to our keep, and frankly this dragon head is hyuge and cumbersome. We're all on foot as the only horse we have with us is Magnus' war horse, and he's hauling the dragon head. We're traveling, so the wizards didn't have their mage armor up. We'll regret this later.

We got 1.5 days into our journey when Leovan completely missed bad guys surrounding us, walking us straight into a trap of 5 or so low level dragon cult minions. We start laying into them in our typical fashion, Elle throwing magic missile, Magnus slashing away, Itanis took the first round to put up armor. Leovan is shooting people well, Tsedek is also doing a ton of damage with his daggers and stealth.

Then a few of them grouped up together and Elle went to her default of fireball. She's practically known for it now. But we were doing pretty good against the low level minions, until some mid level ones showed up. That slowed us up a bit but as we turned our focus to the mid level cultists another guest arrives to the party.

A blue dragon shows up. Yeah not good. He lightening bolts us and then comes down to land. Not sure why he landed, but we blast into him. Itanis with his caltrops of doom, Magnus in just his weapon swinging way, Leovan and his arrows, and Elle broke out "steel wind strike". Basically she can hit with a long sword up two 5 bad guys within 30' for 6d10+5 force damage each. I miss the 3 mid level cultists enroute to the dragon entirely, but totally hit the dragon.

The mid level cultists attack doing a fair bit of damage, Itanis is not in good shape, and they managed to knock Magnus flat on his keester. And then the dragon took off. Elle is also at about half health at this point because of the lightning bolt.

And then the session ended, hazards of gaming during our one hour lunch sometimes (ok frequently) you wind up stopping mid battle.

We will resume next Monday! Elle can get the dragon, it's just in range of one spell, but it'll require Elle to do something very epic and it can go very very bad. Or good, who knows.
