We're back to full steam y'all! Also, correction from last story, our emissary and transport friend was a Silver dragon. Darn second hand information.

After a two day flight to the Council of Metallic dragons, we are presented to the Council. It turns out the council is made up of 5 Ancient dragons, one of each metallic type. Gold, Silver, Copper, Bronze, Brass.

The Gold dragon flat out doesn't like us due to the fact there are 3 elves in the party (Leoven, Elle, and Itanis). One likes us already, the other three are neutral.

Their debate is do they take out the Dragon Cult* themselves or partner up with the humanoids (that'd be us). The problem with the first part of their debate is some of the dragons didn't care if innocent humanoids got hurt in the crossfire, and some of the dragons weren't sure they could take out the cult entirely on their own.

So after much back and forth, the political posturing and grand standing, we discovered that one of the neutral dragons wanted one of our magic items. As it was a minor item that was rarely used, we willingly handed it over. So now there's 2 friendly, 2 neutral, and 1 unfriendly.

Magnus, he shined this episode. This Paladin, he can be quite the charmer when he wants to be. Most of the time he prefers the smiting though. He wound up being our party spokesperson and waxed eloquent about who he was and what mission he is on -- it apparently came to him in a dream -- and how successful this party, his now friends, have been so far and how much more successful we could be partnering up together.

Then we got to the meat of negotiations and Tsedek stepped in to help as that's kind of his wheelhouse. Magnus and Tsedek negotiated a monetary element and a retrieval of sorts to "prove" ourselves worthy of partnering with the dragons. The retrieval though, this ought to be interesting.

See the Gold dragon wants an apology from the King of the Wood Elves for this great calamity. Yes, the same King that had a rogue son who became a dragon rider. Yes, that one, the one we captured, questioned, and killed.

And that's where the session ended. What did Elle do? Not a thing. She was so apparently awestruck she stood there, gawking. Oh she did lean over once and say in an undertone to Itanis that this is why Magnus is the face of this operation (while he was waxing eloquent).

The party is now discussing how to secure the apology from the King of the Wood Elves. And we're not too sure how great of a reception we'll get from him.

*Dragon Cult is a group of individuals working together to free Tiamat, who is the Queen of the Chromatic dragons. She is super evil and it would be devastating for her to get loose in the world. She is a 5 headed ancient dragon, one head per color dragon.
