When last we left our heroes they had managed to traverse the very slippery slope down into the lair of a green dragon that is rumored to have a rider. We had made it to the bottom and found some elves lingering about.

Elle took exception to that for some reason and seriously wanted to cast "wall of fire" around them in a circle, basically making a ring of fire, with the "cook" side set to face them. Basically burning them to death.

While deciding what to do, our man of action - yes, Magnus - walks right up to the group of elves lingering about and proceeds to announce who he was and were they friends or foes. In his best intimidating I am the law here voice of course. OK, the full plate armor, multiple weapons and a shield ... and sheer size ... doesn't hurt either. The traitor elves were very confused as to why a single person was saying "we" are here to kill the green dragon, but they were sufficiently intimidated into trying to help.

So then the rest of the party showed themselves, complete with several of Itanis' illusions to further increase our numbers, and proceeded to question the traitor elves.

Turns out they were survivors of one of the other village raids and their families are being held as hostage by a couple of Ettins. Their job was to stand in this entry room and alert if anyone comes down the tunnel. So they kinda failed at that. But we did not kill them, and Magnus informed them that if they stay on duty and NOT alert the dragon and cultists, they would be set free at the end. If they hindered us in any way he'd kill them.

Elle then tries to help the whole intimidation process by switching to elvish and informing them that they better take Magnus' offer as her preference would be to just kill them as she was sick of traitorous elves. Unfortunately, Elle really isn't a physically intimidating person plus she's a high-born well educated elf, so they were mostly confused as to why a high-born elf was threatening to kill them.

Tsedek then decides to do some sneaking about to get the lay of the land and we made a plan to knock this out. Between Itanis' illusionary wall, Tsedek casting Invisibility on Magnus and himself, and Leovan's Pass without Trace ability we were all able to sneak pretty well to the room with the cultists.

And that is where we left the party.
