When last we left this group, we had dispatched the wizards of the Cult of the Dragon at the pinnacle of their attempt to bring Tiamat back from the hells where she is trapped. After that, and some clean up, we returned to our home for a much needed rest. As a reminder this group consists of:

Tsedek, our charming Tiefling Rogue

Itanis, a devious High Elf Wizard, fond of controlling any situation we may find ourselves in

Leoven, our quiet but effective Wood Elf Ranger

Magnus, the Human Paladin of Heironious, he has followed a vengeance path

Elle, the small but sparky High Elf Wizard, fond of blowing things up with lots of fire

We were tired. And wealthy. And home for awhile. So we proceed to start working on personal projects, some group projects, and just living life.

Itanis and Elle both got to researching spells in their respective expertise.

We started doing some improvements around Dragon's Bane Keep, to make it better for the villagers and us.

Elle got fascinated with life creation after all the lives she took and spent a couple of seasons annoying the farmers with her 500 questions she used to do to Magnus.

Leoven worked on increasing his network of information gatherers and protective archers around the keep/village.

Tsedek also worked on his increasing his network of information gatherers as well, and weirdly it's a different network.

Magnus though, he made the biggest change. Much to our astonishment, we were invited to his wedding to Emilia, the lady in charge of the day-to-day of the flying island. We of course attended, Elle gifted them some fine Elven wine.

That was another change, Elle decided to teleport home to set things right with the family if possible. See, she is an underage runaway and over the past few years of adventuring she's had a change of heart towards how she handled it. She doesn't want to be what the family expected her to be though. So she teleported home, into the herb garden as to not alarm the guards. As a precaution though, she went in full battle gear in case they try to keep her there ... she is underage after all.

But it went far better than she expected. Her father had mellowed some after her sister, the heir, produced a rare set of twins as the "spare". So she spent some time at home sharing stories of what they've been doing, much to her Father's amusement and dismay. Amusement because they've done some epic things, dismay that his little girl was constantly in danger.

Another thing that started happening is Elle, Itanis, and Tsedek started a side business. We combined forces and skillsets to sell clones to the wealthy. Tsedek, being the charmer, acquired potential clients for us. Elle put on her wealthy noble face to help seal deals, and do the actual clone spell (it is necromancy, she dabbles in that). Itanis has the brunt of the workload though. He created luxury mini pocket dimensions to store the caskets of clones. One per clone, with varying levels of supplies/luxury depending on what package the person purchased. We worked out the kinks in the process on the three of us first, and sadly for Itanis (who was the first clonee) Elle wigged out at handling raw flesh chunks and once again ... puked in the corner.

Here's the thing though, the trio did not tell Leoven or Magnus. Leoven is basically a good person and we're not sure how squicked out he'd be by the business. And Magnus, sometimes he gets a little squirrelly on some of the magic use we do. He may not be quite as "straight and narrow" as a typical paladin, but he still has opinions about necromancy and doing good.

But for a couple of years we settled in, worked on projects, worked on just living for a bit, and healing. Then one day, there was a disturbance in the force and Magnus' radar went off again.

More on that soon!

Clone: is a necromancy spell that is very expensive to do, require some high end spell components and (disturbingly lol) a 1" cube of flesh cut from the clonee. However, after 120 days, the clonee has a fully grown body waiting for them for when they die.
