Episode 1: A bard with a bird flirted with the wrong ape and now we're in a pickle

As members of the Talons, sometimes you take on odd tasks. In this case, Jack Burrington and Selene Zarif were tasked by the Talons to go to the caves North West of Warwick and get the primates that have taken up residence in said caves to leave. See, it's supposed to be the home and lab of an alchemist, but these primates moved in and have disrupted his life. So he hired the Talons to take care of this, and we were the ones tasked with the job.

So off Jack and Selene went, one supremely confident he could talk them into moving on, the other not as sure about his skills in talking some primates into moving out of a comfortable cave.

Turns out Selene was right. Jack, being the silver tongued charmer he is, attempted to discuss with the alpha female ape their clan moving on to other accommodations. The male primates took great offense at this, however, and went to full attack mode.

Selene and Jack, realizing the wisdom in retreat at this time, took off running for the cave entrance while the primates were hooting and causing quite the ruckus. They're quite mad you see.

Jack is hollering "Less talky! More Runny!" while Selene responds "You said you could do this! It was easy you said!!" As they popped out of the cave fussing at each other, they discovered there was a trio of hardy, if odd, looking individuals.

Jack then continued his defense "I was making progress with that one female lead ape - but then the gents got all puffy like I was making untoward advances - which I most certainly was not!" Then he spots the other group and continues "Oh hey you there! Bit of help? We'll be supporting you from behind! There's a good lad!"

So Selene pops behind an odd dwarf fellow and tosses frost bite at the incoming pissed off male primate and misses horribly. Jack pats the Ogre on the back as he runs past, giving him some extra health

The tiefling fellow proceeds to shoot at the primate, doing some damage. The ogre walks up to the primate to engage in hand to hand combat, does some damage, and takes quite a bit of damage himself.

Out of no where a large cow fellow appears, plants a GIGANTIC shield, and bellows "if you want safety get behind my shield"

And then the odd dwarf fellow walks up and starts beating on the pissed off primate. Plus another primate comes barreling out of the cave and launches a rock, causing damage.

Jack and Selene, liking the idea of protection from these irritated primates, darted behind the shield. Selene proceeds to give some healing to the Ogre and Jack buffs him again.

The tiefling also fired off a couple more rounds of arrows/spells.

And that is where this session ended! Also, if a couple of these character descriptions sound familiar ... more on that soon as well. :)
