Let's see, last we left our heroes Tsedek had finally returned to us. We were camping in the attics of the ancient cathedral. Our warlock companion was offering "tarot" readings to us around the dinner "campfire". Elle had pulled 3 cards and had a sudden change of life view.
Our warlock companion offered, would anyone else like to see their future? And Tsedek decides he wishes to draw a few cards himself. This is not surprising, he is also Chaotic Neutral and a rogue. He, however, decides that he needs 6 cards, in hopes of some guidance for a personal mission he has.
It did not go as he had planned. He did have some interesting stuff happen, not all of it good. And near as I can tell none of it helps with his personal quest. In order: he gains proficiency in one skill; he gains a common or uncommon wondrous item (of the GM's choice, the item is pending right now); his intelligence is reduced by 5 (bringing him from above average to just average); he lost all his wealth; he gains the use of any 5th level spell 3 times; if he manages to single handedly kill the next monster he gains advantage on a skill check of his choice; then he draws a card that stole his soul (literally).
Just as the "lights" went out in Tsedek, he suddenly sprung back to life and drew two more cards to gain the ability to erase one event as if it never happened and 2 more level 5 spell uses.
The warlock then offered her skills again and to everyone's surprise Magnus decides to draw a solo card. I think he may have surprised himself as well. But, he drew a card that gave him proficiency in persuasion ... and the brains running the ship (the floating city where we found the skinned cultists) recognize him as the rightful owner. This has sent him back to brooding.
While Itanis and Leoven were decided if they wanted to pull a card, Elle decided to try out her new outlook on life. She walked straight up to Leoven, looked him straight in the eye, offered him her hand as to give a hand shake and says "I wish to apologize for my choosing to torment you with my fire knowing it traumatizes you." This did not help his confusion any and he decided to go walkabout (the attics, where it's relatively safe). Leoven never pulled a card.
In the end though Itanis decides to pull two cards. He wasn't going to as he doesn't like to lose control, but his chaotic nature won out in the end. He's Chaotic Good. Anyway he pulls two cards and one of them gets him the ability to meditate on a question and get a thorough answer about the question. The second card I've unfortunately forgotten.
All of the above effects, like Elle's, are till the end of the current adventure. Except for Tsedek's as yet to be determined wondrous item. At this point we settled in for the night and set watches. We did not make it very far in figuring out how to accomplish any of our goals though.
